July is National Parks month. The LAist is highlighting one park a day. Some of them seem really nifty for my young family. But they are also located in the high desert where it is triple digits in the summer. I am going to list some of my favorites here so I can check back when the temperatures drop a bit.
Apollo Park, Lancaster
4555 West Avenue G
Lancaster, CA 93534
This large park has fishing, hiking, bike paths and multiple playgrounds for children.
Polliwog Park, Manhattan Beach
Wildlife, nifty shaded playground for kids.
