Ellie is 3 months old
I gave up on baby books long ago. I own 3 of them, all of them abandoned in favor of blogging and pictures. One day I will have time to record and organize all of the firsts and memories. Until then we have blogging. So, in that vain, I am catching up on Ellie's 'firsts'.
On Eleanor's 3 month birthday she slept in her big girl crib for the first time. After two weeks of her waking up with her head pressed to the top of the bassinet we finally had time to assemble her crib (the same one all of her siblings slept in) put on her new pink sheets and hung her new pink mobile. The little girl is spoiled! That same night I picked her up for her night time feeding and she had rolled onto her belly. I can't believe it! She was rolling belly to back at just over 2 months old and now at 3 months old she is rolling back to belly. This one is going to be quite the mover!
On the same day I sneezed while changing her diaper and she just thought that was the funniest thing ever. She gave a full body chuckle and a few more times after that. She is growing up right before my eyes.
I certainly am loving having her in our family, so is the rest of the family. She is so calm and easy going. It occurred to me the other night that she doesn't ever have to cry. A bit of fussing and moving around shows me what she needs. And if she is having a bad night, invariably because of something I have eaten, it is displayed by wiggling while nursing.
I know it sounds like she is all sunshine and roses - actually its more like bows and flowers - and she kind of is. But I assure you that all four kids haven't been this easy going. Poor Lainy Ann, she was our training child. There was a lot of crying for her and William too. I keep telling people that Eleanor is my reward after having four kids. She really has been a blessing from God.
